Dr. Bijal Dodia
Senior Consultant Physiotherapist
Dr. Bijal Dodia is a Senior Consultant Physiotherapist and Unit In charge of Inpatient and Critical care rehabilitation at Sir H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital & Research Centre.
She graduated from Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Physiotherapy, Navi Mumbai & pursued Masters Degree in Cardiovascular & Respiratory Physiotherapy from Seth G. S. Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai.
She has an extensive clinical experience in treating highly critically ill patients with special interest in Early mobilization of critically ill patients. She has worked with various multispecialty hospitals like Saifee Hospital & Nanavati Hospital where she worked as Senior Physiotherapist & ICU Incharge and gained a rich experience in Critical care rehabilitation.
She served as a resource person for many Certificate courses in critical care rehabilitation and critical care nursing.
Dr Dodia has published papers on pulmonary rehabilitation and critical care physiotherapy in international journals. She is a Founder Executive Member of Society of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehabilitation. She has delivered multiple talks on Rehabilitation of patients on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation, Transplant rehabilitation and early mobility in ICU.
Dr Dodia is also a Certified Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Specialist and is practicing the same since last 8 years.
She holds the membership of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists, Maharashtra State OTPT council, and the Society of Indian Physiotherapists.
Dr Dodia has also been an On-field Physiotherapist for many cricket matches, marathons and cyclathons.
She has worked for various NGOs such as Multiple Sclerosis Society of India & Paraplegic Foundation.
